Robert Henry Schnell , age 88 of 2801 Hampshire, died Sunday, November 26, 2006 at 7:40 p.m. in his home.He was born September 26, 1918 in Fall Creek Township the son of August and Mary Louise Drawe Schnell. On June 23, 1946 he married Mary Malone in St. Louis, MO. She preceded him in death September 8, 1994.Mr. Schnell was a graduate of Quincy High School and served in the Army during World War II. He was a machinist at Colt Industries for 39 years, retiring in 1979.He was a member of Grace Methodist Church, Herman Lodge #39 A.F. & A.M., and Machinist Local #822.Survivors include 3 daughters, Mary Jo Lewis or Quincy, Betty Yates and her husband Tom of Quincy, and Martha Bostick and her husband Kenneth of Lynn Haven, Florida, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and his sister, Virginia Carter of Mexico, MO. He was also preceded in death by his parents.Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m.in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with_Rev. Steve Livengood officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials made to Grace United Methodist Church or Adams County Council for Senior Citizens for Senior Transportation in his name would be appreciated. |
