Russell H. 'Junior' Padgett, Jr. , age 83 of 205 E. Spring, Camp Point, and formerly of 649 Monroe, Quincy, died Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 10:15 a.m. in Timber Point Health Care Center, Camp Point.He was born July 31, 1923 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Russell and Inez Mason Padgett, Sr.. On February 20, 1954 he married Evelyn Riggall in Rushville, Illinois. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2003.He was a long time resident of Clayton, Illinois and came to Quincy in the late '70's. He was an employee of Western Ready Mix until his retirement and was of the Presbyterian faith.Survivors include, 2 step-sons, Sheridan B. Jones and his wife Kaye of Mt. Sterling; and Monte Jones and his wife Connie of Rushville; 2 brothers, Jack Padgett; and Dean Padgett both of Camp Point; 7 step grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren; and 2 step great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother Lozelle Padgett.Services will be Monday, November 13 at 1 p.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Cain officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon Monday until time of services. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Clayton, IL. Memorials made to Glory Worship Center, Clayton in his name would be appreciated. |
