Mildred Marie "Millie" Mast, age 78 of 1707 Spruce, Quincy, died Monday, May 8, 2006 at 7:08 a.m. in Blessing Hospital.She was born December 13, 1927 in Palmyra, Missouri the daughter of Edwin and Dora Meyer. On May 14, 1949 she married William E. Mast in Palmyra, MO. He survives.Mrs. Mast was a graduate of Palmyra High School and Gem City Business College. She had worked at Electric Wheel Company, Blessing Hospital and Quincy Public Library. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Millie was an avid soccer and basketball fan.Survivors include a son, Kent Mast and his wife Coleen of Frankfort, IL; a daughter, Karen Gagnon and her husband Greg of Osage Beach, MO; 6 grandchildren Susie Lambert and her husband Josh, Scott Mast and Suzanne, Steve and Stuart Mast, Brian and Adam Gagnon;3 great grandchildren Gavin Lambert, Elora and Lucy Mast and a granddaughter-in-law Brendan Mast, of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Mary Frances, a brother Eddie and a grandson Shawn Mast.Services will be Wednesday evening at 7p.m. in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Troxel officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorials made to the Lucy Mast Fund in Millie's name would be greatly appreciated. |
