Marion C. Davis, age 77 of 2130 Harrison, Quincy, died Friday, May 26, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. in Good Samaritan Home.She was born December 23, 1928 in Quincy the daughter of William and Amy Leake Bryant. On October 19, 1947 she married Leroy Davis, Sr. in Taylor, Missouri, he survives.She retired from Blessing Hospital housekeeping department. She liked to crochet, to shop, and to play cards, especially euchre and pitch. She was a good cook and made great fudge and Christmas candies. She also loved flowers.Survivors in addition to her husband are five sons; Leroy Davis, Jr. and his wife Alice, Michael Roy Davis, Larry Andrew Davis and his wife Brenda, Gerald Lee Davis and Roger Kenneth Davis and his wife Laura all of Quincy; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Billie Jean Brocksieck and her husband Albert of Coatsburg; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Martha Bealdes, and a granddaughter Gabrielle Renee Davis.Services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2006, 11:00 a.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis Edgecomb officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 31, from 10:30-11:00 a.m.. Memorials given to Blessing Hospital Dialysis Unit in Marion C. Davis' name would be greatly appreciated. |
