Leona May Stark, age 69 of 517
Turtle Lake, Quincy, died Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 5:40 am in Blessing Hospital.
She was born August 12, 1936 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of
Harold L. and Zelma R. Miller Shepherd.
She was employed by Motorola and Brower Mfg. and later by Harris
Corporation. She was a member of the Great River Gold Wing Riders Association and she
loved hummingbirds, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include 6 children, John Stark of Pekin, IL; Marsha
Wiegand and friend, Michael Morrall of Farley, MO; Harold "Butch" Stark and his
wife Sheryl of Quincy; Donald Stark and his wife Vicki of Dixon, MO; Roger Stark and his
wife Val of Quincy; Teresa Hardwick of Quincy; 11 grandchildren, Nancy and Phillip Stark,
Michael and Quinton Wiegand, Shaun and Michelle Stark, Anna Parsons and Laura Koch,
Kaitlin Stark, Laura Hardwick and Christopher Pittman; 11 great grandchildren; 1 step
grandchild; 1 step great grandchild; long time companion, Roy Boyles; 2 sisters, Nancy
"Jean" Louderback of Hannibal, MO, and Cleo Slater of Payson; several nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Donald Stark.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 1:30 pm in
Hebron Cemetery, Camp Point. Visitation will be Monday, March 6th from 4-7 pm at the
funeral home. Memorials made to Adams County Ambulance Service in Leona's name would be
greatly aprreciated.
