Dorothy M. Sims, age 56 of 410 College, Quincy, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 10:52 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.She was born January 30, 1950 in Charleston, West Virginia the daughter of Claude and Mary Ball Hudson. On November 24, 1971 she married Terry D. Sims, Sr. in Charleston, West Virginia. He Survives.She was a graduate of South Charleston High School in Charleston, West Virginia. She later attended John Wood Community College. She worked for many years at Sycamore Health Care Center.Survivors in addition to her husband include her father; 2 sons, Terry Dale Sims, Jr. and Leonard Daniel Sims; 1 daughter, Barbara Ann Savage and her husband Robert; 4 grandchildren, Christopher and Ashley Davis, Jacob Sims and Brooklyn Sims; all of Quincy. She is also survived by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She was preceded in death by her mother and a sister.Services will be Monday, April 3, 2006, at 1 p.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifford Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Mound Prairie Cemetery in Beverly, IL. Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, from 4 - 7 p.m. at Hansen Spear. Memorials given to the family in Dorothy's name would be greatly appreciated. |
