Mary E. Saylor, age 87 of 527 Broadway, formerly of Kellerville, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 4:26 a.m. in Blessing Hospital.She was born April 15, 1918 in Ursa, Illinois the daughter of Elmer and Ruth Wible Stratman. On May 21, 1958 she married Gilbert C. "Gib" Saylor in Palmyra, MO, He preceded her in death on August 23,1996.She was a cook at Sprout's Inn for over 20 years. She also worked at Davis-Cleaver for 8 years. Mary was a former member of Luther Memorial Church.Survivors include 2 step-sons: Joseph W. Saylor and his wife, Ann of Sheldon, MO; and Allen "Buster" Saylor of St. Louis, MO; 5 nieces and nephews, Ruth Milhauser and her husband, Carl of Decatur; Donald Johannes and his wife, Barbara of Highland, IL; Mary Turner and her husband, Fred of Quincy; Judy Davies of Kearney, NE, and Daniel Johannes and his wife, Charla of St. Peters, MO. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents a stepson, Gilbert Jr., a sister, Eva Ruth Johannes, and a nephew, Philip Johannes.Services will be Friday, March 17, 2006 at 11 a.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Pratt officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2006 from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Memorials made in Mary's name to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. |
