Janice "Jana" Sue Peters, age 74 of 1805 Ohio, Quincy, died Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 3:30 am in Blessing Hospital.She was born April 9, 1931 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of William Delbert and Veta Elenora Leckbee Arnold. On November 12, 1950 she married Clarence Alfred Peters in Union United Methodist Church in Quincy. He preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2003.She was a 1949 graduate of Quincy High School. She worked for D.C.F.S. for 10 years, and she worked for 22 years at Transitions as a Resident Manager.Survivors include three sons, Craig A. Peters of Lincoln, NE; Todd D. Peters and his wife Janice of Quincy; Jeffrey K. Peters of Quincy; 10 grandchildren, Tracey Dodd and her husband Dan; Mike Peters; Travis Peters and his wife Jenny; Mandi Peters and her Fiance' John Friday; Angela, Kayla and Matthew Peters, all of Quincy; Chris, Timothy and Robert Peters; all of Lincoln, NE; 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Jean Brady of Quincy, a brother, William D. Arnold of Quincy; several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.Services will be Wednesday, March 8, 2006, 10:30 am in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Wally Carlson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 7 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Memorials made to a charity of donor's choice in Janice's name would be greatly appreciated. |
