| Edith Muriel Mason, age
80, of 2521 State St.,a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian, died
Sunday, March 26, 2006 at 1:10 p.m. in her home. She was born on October 28, 1925 in
Ankeny, Iowa, the daughter of Charles E. and Mattie D. Davis Carpenter. On April 1, 1944
she married Aulton J. Mason in Hanstings, Nebraska. He survives at the home. Edith was a life-long member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her three sons: Ronald A. Mason of Downers Grove, IL; Richard D. Mason of Oceanside, CA; and Larry E. Mason of Quincy; and four grandchildren: David R. Mason of Joliet, IL; Elizabeth Mason of Normal, IL; Richard B. Mason of Oceanside, CA; and Amber M. Mason of Oceanside, CA. Graveside services will be on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in Greenmount Cemetery with Wayne Lock officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Blessing Foundation for Hospice. |
