Daniel W. "Dan" Leake, age 47, of 3626 Maine, Quincy, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 8:20 am in Blessing Hospital.He was born October 5, 1958 in Quincy, Illinois the son of Robert and Sharon Leake Scott. On March 11, 1978 he married Sherrie Johnson in Quincy. She survives.He was a 1977 Quincy High School graduate, and worked for 4 years at Walmart. He previously worked at Furrows for 17 years. He attended Calvary Baptist Church. Dan was a good carpenter, loved animals and loved his family.Survivors also include his parents; 3 children Brian Leake; Stacy Leake and her friend, Josh Daniel, and Adam Leake, all of Quincy; 2 grandchildren, Brianna Leake and Jeremiah Daniel of Quincy; 3 brothers, Mike Scott of Quincy, Jim Scott of Missouri; Jeff Scott of Illinois; a sister, Sherry Lee Carroll of Hannibal, MO; an aunt, Sonia Hill of Camp Point, IL; nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and an uncle, John Hill.Services will be Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 2:00 pm in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Farlow officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14 from 4- 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family. Hansen-Spear Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
