Cory Didriksen Lovelace, age 38, of
1869 Kentucky, Quincy, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at 9:45 am in her home.
She was born December 7, 1967 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter
of John E. and Martha " Marty" Heidbreder Didriksen. On January 26, 1991 she
married Curtis Lovelace in Quincy, Illinois.
Cory was a 1986 graduate of Quincy High School and a 1990
graduate of the University of Iowa where she was a Phi Eta Sigma and a member of the Chi
Omega Sorority. She was a member of Friends in Council, Quincy Service League, The Women's
Interdenominational Bible Study, First Union Congregational Church, Madison School and
Baldwin School PTA and was also a room mother. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife
and mother.
Survivors include her husband; her parents, of Quincy; her four
children, Lyndsay, Logan, Lincoln and Larson Lovelace, at home; her brother, Dr. Pedar
Didriksen and his wife Natalie of Cedar Falls, IA, and their children, Brianna and Hunter
Didriksen; her maternal grandmother, Mary Heidbreder of Quincy, and her great aunt, Martha
McCrory of Sewanee, TN; Cory was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Donald
Didriksen and Helen Didriksen Connell, and her maternal grandfather, Charles Heidbreder.
A Memorial service will be Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 11:00
am in First Presbyterian Church with Kevin McGinnis officiating. Visitation will be Friday
evening from 4-7pm at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Woodland
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Children's Education Fund in Cory's
name would be greatly appreciated.
