Joan Audrey Lohmeyer

Joan Audrey Lohmeyer, went to meet the Lord on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy after a battle with cancer.

Joan was born March 23, 1934 in Moline, Illinois to Alfred and Pearl Tyler Likes. She married Thomas Richard Lohmeyer, Sr. on April 4, 1953.

She worked at Motorola, Tangerine Bowl for 20 years and had a day care in her home for 15 years. Joan's family, her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, meant everything to her. She especially loved the holidays, decorating her home and cooking wonderful meals for her family.

Joan is survived by her husband, Tom; her mother, Pearl Kimble of Rock Island, IL; a son, Tommy of Quincy; a son, Terry and his wife Donna and their children, Jason, Joel, and Melissa Lohmeyer their grandchildren, Carter and Austin Kramer and Quenton Lohmeyer, all of Quincy; a son, Richard and his wife Cindy of Ursa, IL and their children, Shannen and her husband Brent Woodside of Corpus Christi, TX; Shaun and his wife Christal of Payson, IL, and Shayne of Quincy; a son, David (Crockett) of Marion, IL and his son, Joey Lane of Payson; a daughter, Cindy Daniel and her fiance' Mike Best and her children, John Daniel and his wife Chris; James Daniel and Patrick Best, all of Quincy, and her grandson, Jordan Daniel of Mendon; her son, John and his fiance' Terri Sterling of Charlotte, NC, and his daughter, Sarah Lohmeyer of Alabama. Joan is also survived by 3 sisters, Shirley Barker and her husband John of Moline, IL; Dorothea ( DeDe) Ozerities of Leesburg, FL; Juanita ( Tiny) Foutch of Moline, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Likes, her brother, Junior Likes, and grandmother, Mabel Boley.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, February 8, 2006, 11:15 am in Greenmount Cemetery with the V. Lee Amsler officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8 from 9am - 11am at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorials made to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Joan Lohmeyer's name would be greatly appreciated.
