Alice Mae Ecton

Alice Mae Ecton, age 84 of , Grain Valley, MO died Monday, February 27, 2006 in Oak Grove Nursing Home, Grain Valley, MO

She was born July 27, 1921 in the daughter of Herbert Davis and Henrietta Riley. She married Jack P. Ecton who preceded her in death.

Alice was a long time resident of Quincy. She retired after more than 30 years from Brown Drug co. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her joy was her granchildren.

Survivors include a son, Bill Ecton and his wife Judy of Blue Springs, MO, 3 grandchildren Michael Eric Ecton of Montgomery City, MO, Nicole Ann DAvison of Webb City, MO, David Alan Ecton of Montgomery Citiy, MO, 6great grandchildren Jack, Grace and Gretchen Ecton, Tyler, Emily and Rachel Davison, a step son, Michael Hollingsworth of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 6 brothers and sisters.

Services will be Thursday, March 2, 2006, 1 p.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the REv. Dan Faust officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 5 to 7 p.m.. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
