Erma L. Shouse, age 90, of # 1 Perryman, Lebanon, IL and formerly of Quincy died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at 10:05 pm in Cedar Ridge Health Care Center, Lebanon, Illinois.

She was born July 5, 1915 in Big Neck, Illinois the daughter of Fred and Dolly Eskew Rockwell. She married John V. Shouse in 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1982.

She was a 1933 QHS graduate. She was employed by the International Shoe Factory and then Motorola for 25 years retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Burton Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Robert E. Rockwell and his wife Donna, Belleville, IL; two grandchildren, Susan L. Joergensen, Belleville, IL; Janet K. (Wayne) Kniepkamp, Millstadt, IL; 5 great-grandchildren, Teri (Kevin) Foster, Freeburg, IL; Robert Joergensen, Belleville, IL; Amanda (Michael) Groom, Belleville, IL; Katie Kniepkamp and Michael Kniepkamp, Millstadt, IL; one great great grandchild, Tyler Groom, Belleville, IL; several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harry and Ray Rockwell.

Services will be Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 10:30 am in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Rodney Bakker officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 am - 10:30 am. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alzhemiers Association or to Unity Hospice.
