Carol E. Hrudicka Hokamp, age 71,
of 2527 Lexi Lane, Quincy, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 1:28 am in Blessing Hospital.
She was born May 29, 1934 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of
E verett J. and Mabel Amelia Shepherd Windsor. On June 12, 1954 she married James R. Hrudicka in Quincy, and he preceded her in death August 5, 1994. She married Henry G.
"Hank" Hokamp on November 15, 1997 in St. James Lutheran Church, Quincy. He
survives.
Mrs. Hokamp was a 1952 graduate of Quincy High School. She was
employed by the Washington Theater, Gardner-Denver Company as an office clerk in Accounts
Receivable. She was later employed at Hardees and HyVee. With her first husband they owned
and operated Jim and Carol's Restaurant and Bar at 8th and Monroe. Mrs. Hokamp was a
member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Westview Ladies Golf League.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, are a son, John Hrudicka
of Crystal Lake, IL; three daughters: Cindy Troth and her husband Andy of Oklahoma City,
OK; Cathy Pierceall and her husband Craig of Quincy; and Pam Cane and her husband Mike of
Quincy; nine grandchildren: Doug Thomas and his wife Tiffany, with the U.S. Army; Dawn
Mangrum and her husband Mike of Wichita, KS; Cory Thomas and his wife Monica of Gardner,
KS; Katie and Scott Pierceall of Quincy; Sarah and Robby Cane of Quincy; and Joshua and
Jordyn Hrudicka of Crystal Lake, IL; two sisters, Judy Condon and her late husband William
of Iowa City, IA; and Janet Aden and her husband Jerry of Quincy; a brother, David Windsor
and his wife Janette of West Palm Beach, FL; seven great grandchildren: Mikey, Destiny,
Kali, Austin, Mackenzie, Baily, and Payten; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant child.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marlin Rempfer officiating. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 7 pm at
the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Society (Hope
Lodge Center), St. Louis, MO or St. James Lutheran Church.
