Roger G. Hagerbaumer, age 77, 2522
Sharon Drive, Quincy, died Thursday, June 14, 2001 at 11:30 AM in his home.
He was born July 10, 1923 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of George W. Hagerbaumer and
Lillian J. Fickeissen Hagerbaumer. On July 30, 1943, he married Phyllis E. Weiss in
Trinity United Church of Christ. She survives.
Mr. Hagerbaumer was a 1941 graduate of Quincy High School and attended Chicago College of
Advanced Traffic. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, a 50 year member of
Quincy Lodge #296 A.F. & A.M., Travelers Protective Association where he is a past
president and Quincy Traffic and Transportation Club. He was a former member of Spring
Lake Country Club and the National Industrial Traffic League. Mr. Hagerbaumer also
formerly served on the Aviation Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and the Junior Board
of Directors of the YMCA.
He retired from Moorman Mfg. Company in 1980 after 37 years of service. At the time of his
retirement he was Manager of traffic Operations.
Survivors in addition to his wife are a daughter, Debra Ann Kruizenda & her husband
Leonard , Palos Park, IL, a brother, David W. Hagerbaumer and his wife Delphia, La Mesa,
CA, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be 2PM Monday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. A.H. Bauch
officiating. Burial in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday
from 12:30PM until the time of services.
