Marvin “Wayne” Zanger , age 64, of 500 Monroe St., Quincy, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at 12:26 am in Blessing Hospital.
Wayne owned and operated his own trash hauling business for 25 years. he worked as a janitor for twelve years at St. Mary Catholic School and for seven years at Quincy Window Cleaning and Janitorial Service. Wayne was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. He loved cars, especially sports and classic cars. He enjoyed listening to rock and roll music. Wayne’s favorite pastime was simply spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; he loved them all very much.
Survivors include: two children, Dwayne (Saria) Zanger of Quincy, and Teri (Adam) Junk of Quincy; five grandchildren, Ethan, Dayne, Dominic, Connor and Adalyn; two sisters, Shirley Nagel of Quincy, and Arlene (Jim) Toneff of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother, Larry Zanger of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Zanger of Quincy; and several nieces an nephews
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary Zanger.
Services: 11:00 am Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Monsignor Michael Kuse officiating.
