    Dear Moore Family,

I only now learned of Kel’s passing.

Kel was a beautiful man. Fond memories for me are tromping about in the woods, camping, and intrepid travel in Kel’s great company. He had said once “You’re the only person I know who’s even ‘cooler’ than me” –which speaks of his particular sense of humor, but we ALL know he was much cooler than most people in ways that it counts the most. :)

My heart goes out to you all who will sorely miss his calm and loving presence in your lives. Hugs to little Miss Claire, too.

  2. Anie Points says:

It was a pleasure to reconnect later in life and share stories of the years in between and of how proud we are of our kids. Glad to know I’ll have another guardian angel with a sense of humor looking after me!

  3. Kitty Karn says:

Dear Jillian, Hilary, Galen and Guthrie,
You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you CELEBRATE Kelly’s life, as he asked you do to. I also know that you are all grieving the life of a man who loved you with all his heart and soul. I witnessed that first hand for the three years we were together. Although it was a tumultuous relationship, I have many fond memories of the shows we did together: Carmina Burana, Evita, 1776 and Blood Brothers. And most of all, I will never forget how he helped me buy and remodel my first home!! I would never have done it if it wasn’t for Kelly’s encouragement and help. No one made falafel like Kelly!!

To Kelly: I can’t rattle them off in Hebrew the way you could, but I just know you’re partying it up with all those archangels in Heaven!! I know most people say “Rest in Peace”, but that just doesn’t seem like something you’d do, so I’ll say “Party on, Kel”. And much love. Kitty

    Hilary,
We were both saddened to hear of the passing of your father at such a young age. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Though we didn’t get to meet your father, judging from the picture, a very creative soul, just like his daughter.

  5. Katherine Ashby says:

To Kelly and his family, you have my condolences and sincere prayers of Godspeed. Kelly was a gifted artist and one of the most heart centered people I have every known. A true poet, philosopher, and gentleman. He made me laugh! Much love to you all.

  9. Mick Myers & family, Mt. Sterling says:

Dear Jillian, Hilary, Galen, and Guthrie:

We were all saddened to hear of the passing of your father. We fondly remember all the good times we spent together when you lived in Mt. Sterling and then some when you moved away to be closer to your father’s work in Canton. Please accept our profound sympathy and know that each of us will keep you in thought and prayer. May God bless all of you during this difficult time.

  10. Sherry Guthrie Hughett says:

You were always a good friend, from carrying notes in junior high, playing the drums while I sang at Pops Concert, to always giving your informed, honest opinion on a topic in recent years. I’ve told you before, and truly believe that no one played that drum roll before “Stand Up & Cheer” like you did. My sincere sympathy to your family, you will be missed by many.

  11. Tim McClelland (T Mac) says:

You’re leaving us too soon my friend. We weren’t done tossing the Frisbee or playing that game of Risk. You did make friends quickly, and kept many for your life’s journey. We’ll all miss you, your spontaneity, your wit and wisdom and your smile. Be well in this, your new beginning.
