John B. Herrmann, 84, 1434 North 13th, Quincy, died Monday, November 25, 2002 at 2:02 pm at Blessing Hospital.
Mr. Herrmann served in the U.S. Army during World War II in England, Belgium and France. He was employed as a machinist at Gardner Denver Co. for 33 years and retired in 1980. Mr. Herrmann was a member of the Baptist faith, a member of Machinist Lodge #822 and Gardner Denver Quarter Century Club. In his younger years, he liked to hunt, fish and do outside yard work.
Survivors in addition to his wife are 1 son, Don Herrmann and his wife Donna, Springfield, IL; 1 daughter, Mary Duesterhaus and her husband Paul, Quincy; 2 granddaughters, Jessica Redington, Quincy; Ashley Herrmann, Springfield; 1 sister-in-law, Helen Herrmann, Johnson City, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers Alfred, Clarence, and Jeter Herrmann. and a sister Erna Creacy.
Funeral Services were held 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 27, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, Rev. Roger Selves officiating. Burial was in Emerson Cemetery, Emerson, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Emerson Cemetery Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
