Volunteer | Hansen-Spear Funeral Home - Quincy, IllinoisVolunteering gives you a new social network. Find friends with common interests, neighborhood resources, or fun activities. You gain self-confidence from helping others. This sense of accomplishment and self-esteem combats depression and stress. 1. Volunteering, it’s what my family and I do. This year I will volunteer over 1500 hours of my time and my family will volunteer another 500+ hours. 98% of these hours will be volunteering for Veterans, Veterans events and Veterans organizations.
